The Lost Map
PAGE 1
Lena is in her aunt’s old house.
It is big and a little scary.
She walks into the attic.
There are boxes, books, and dust.
She finds a rolled paper on the floor.
PAGE 2
Lena opens the paper.
It is a map.
There is a red X on it.
She feels excited.
“What is this?” she whispers.
PAGE 3
She shows the map to her friend Tom.
Tom’s eyes get big.
“It looks like a treasure map,” he says.
“Let’s follow it!” says Lena.
They pack a small bag with water and snacks.
PAGE 4
The map leads them to the forest.
They walk past tall trees.
They hear birds singing.
The sun shines through the leaves.
They see an old wooden bridge ahead.
PAGE 5
The bridge is broken in the middle.
“We must be careful,” says Tom.
They cross slowly.
On the other side, they see a big rock.
The red X is drawn under the rock on the map.
PAGE 6
They dig near the rock.
After some time, Lena’s shovel hits something hard.
It is a small metal box.
They open it and see old coins and a letter.
The letter says, “For the brave ones who follow their dreams.”
