The Mystery of the Blue Door
Page 1 – A Strange Door
Emma lived in a small town.
Every day, she walked to school with her friend Jack.
On the way, they always passed an old, empty house.
The house had a bright blue door.
The door was always closed.
Emma often wondered, “What is inside?”

One Monday morning, the blue door was open.
Emma stopped and looked at Jack.
“Do you see that?” she asked.
Jack nodded. “Yes… it’s open.”
They walked closer.
A cold wind came from inside.

Emma felt nervous, but curious.
“Should we go in?” she whispered.
Jack looked around. No one was there.
“Okay, but just for one minute,” he said.
They stepped inside.
It smelled old and dusty.
Page 4 – The Hallway
The hallway was dark.
Sunlight came through a broken window.
Old pictures hung on the walls.
One picture showed a man with a hat.
He had kind eyes but a serious face.
“Who is he?” Emma asked.
Page 5 – A Strange Sound
Suddenly, they heard a sound upstairs.
It was soft, like footsteps.
Emma’s heart beat fast.
“Maybe it’s a cat,” Jack said.
They climbed the stairs slowly.
The sound stopped.
Page 6 – The Blue Room
At the top, they saw a small room.
Its door was also painted blue.
Inside, there was a table with a box on it.
The box was wooden and had a small lock.
Emma touched it.
It was warm.

Next to the box, there was a letter.
It was yellow and old.
Emma opened it and read aloud:
"Dear Friend, if you find this, you are kind and brave. This box belongs to you now."
Jack’s eyes grew wide.
“What’s inside?” he asked.

They searched the room.
Under the table, Emma found a small silver key.
She put it into the lock.
Click! The box opened.
Inside, there was a small notebook and a photo.
The photo showed the man from the hallway picture.
Page 9 – The Story of the House
The notebook told the man’s story.
He was a traveler who loved helping people.
He built the house long ago.
The blue door was his favorite color.
He left the box for someone who was curious and brave.
Emma smiled. “That’s us.”
Page 10 – The Promise
Emma and Jack put the notebook in Emma’s bag.
They closed the blue door and walked to school.
The sun was shining, and the air felt warm.
From that day, they promised to explore new places.
And sometimes, they still passed the blue door…
But now, they smiled when they saw it.
